Hoskin and Clark use machine sounds, non-musical vocal techniques, physically manipulated audio media, processed sound recordings, field recordings, computer-generated noise, and other randomly generated electronic signals such as distortion , feedback, static, hiss and buzz in addition to their multi-guitar, bass and drum line-up. The emphasis is on high volume levels and long, continuous tracks. More generally, their improvisations exploit extended technique, cacophony and indeterminacy, and in many cases the unconventional use of melody, harmony, rhythm and pulsation.
